High School Education Coordinator

Oxford Learning South Surrey - Panorama is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic High School Education Coordinator to join our team. This unique role combines educational leadership, student program management, parent communication, and direct instruction of high school mathematics and science students.

As a key member of the centre team, you will work closely with the Centre Manager and Elementary Education Coordinator to ensure students receive exceptional academic support while maintaining Oxford Learning's high standards of customer service and educational excellence.

Position Details

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Regular hours include after-school and evening shifts, as well as Saturdays. A commitment for one full school year is required.

Oxford Learning provides comprehensive training in our proprietary teaching philosophy and methodologies. Lessons are pre-planned, allowing you to focus on student success and program delivery.

Responsibilities

As the High School Education Coordinator, you will oversee student programming and centre operations while providing academic instruction and mentorship to high school students.

Student & Academic Leadership

  • Conduct and administer student assessments
  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized student learning programs
  • Monitor student progress and academic achievement
  • Teach and support high school students in mathematics and science
  • Guide students through Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
  • Support students in building confidence, independence, and effective learning skills
  • Ensure Oxford Learning teaching methodologies and philosophies are consistently implemented

Parent Relations

  • Meet with parents to discuss student progress and program recommendations
  • Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding student success
  • Inform prospective families about Oxford Learning programs and services
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective families

Centre Operations & Team Support

  • Support daily centre operations and administrative tasks
  • Manage assessment scheduling and student program implementation
  • Coach and support teaching staff in Oxford Learning methodologies
  • Help create a positive, energetic, and professional learning environment

Start Date: This position is expected to begin in August 2026. Training and onboarding will take place prior to the start of the academic year to ensure a smooth transition into the role and successful support of our students and families.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field preferred
  • Teaching certification is considered an asset
  • Strong secondary school mathematics background required
  • Additional language(s) spoken are an asset

Experience:

  • Experience working in an educational environment with medium to large student populations
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience with high school students in BC
  • Strong knowledge of Grades 9–12 mathematics and science curriculum in BC
  • Experience in customer service and parent communication
  • Sales or consultative customer service experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online communication platforms
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20 - $22 / hour based on experience

Schedule:

  • Evenings
  • Monday to Thursday (2pm - 8pm)
  • Saturday availability (9am - 2pm)
