Oxford Learning Forest Hill is currently seeking a versatile and committed tutor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with students across age groups and is passionate about building both academic skills and confidence.

We’re looking for a tutor who is comfortable supporting high school math (primary focus), some physics, and academic writing, while also being able to work with younger students on foundational reading, writing, and math skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach high school math (primary focus), with some support in physics

  • Support students with writing and literacy development

  • Work with elementary students on reading, writing, and math skills

  • Prepare students for standardized tests (e.g., SAT) as needed

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction based on each student’s needs

  • Track student progress and provide feedback to the Education Coordinator

  • Foster a positive, motivating, and structured learning environment


Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in high school math (required); physics is an asset

  • Comfortable supporting students across multiple grade levels and subjects

  • Experience teaching or tutoring high school students

  • Ability to also work with younger learners (elementary level)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • SAT preparation experience is an asset

  • Must be able to commit for at least one year (this is not a summer-only role)


Availability Requirements

  • Mandatory: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (afternoon/evening hours)

  • Preferred: Thursday evenings and/or Saturday mornings
