Math Education Coordinator Wanted

Candidates must live in Oakville or within a 30-minute commute from Oakville ON.

Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown Core is looking for a hardworking Math Education Coordinator to help students obtain higher grades and stronger learning skills.

Job details:

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online job. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Responsibilities (Position Details):

As the Math Education Coordinator you participate in the centre's operations, including working with multiple people from centre staff to teachers, to parents, and of course, the students! You will work directly with the Centre Director as a key staff member with the following responsibilities:

  • help inform inquiring parents about our Oxford Learning programs
  • organize schedules for students, staff, and teachers
  • set up and administer assessments
  • establish and oversee student learning programs
  • maintain contact with parents and meeting with them to discuss their child's progress
  • ensure that the Oxford Learning philosophy is being maintained throughout the centre
  • create a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
  • effectively master the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy as well as coach other teaching members of the team

We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:

Education:

  • Minimum university degree in Mathematics
  • Must have strong Math skills upto grade 8 Curriculum requirements (upto grade 11 is an asset)

Experience:

  • Must have recent work experience teaching Grade 1-8 students in Ontario
  • Must have experience using the Ontario Curriculum for program planning and assessments
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, online communication apps)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Hourly wage (between $20.00-$25.00).

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Saturday availability: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
