Early Learners Teacher - Reading, Phonics & Math

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Forest Hill is currently seeking an Early Learners teacher for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

About Us:
At Oxford Learning Forest Hill, we are passionate about inspiring a love of learning in young children. Our programs focus on developing strong foundational skills in reading, phonics, and math, helping students build confidence and excel academically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach early reading, phonics, and math to kindergarten and elementary students (up to grade 8).
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
• Use the Oxford Learning curriculum and teaching methods to deliver effective lessons.
• Provide feedback on student progress through Lesson Planner Reviews (LPRs).
• Work collaboratively with the Education Coordinator and other teachers.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in teaching, coaching, or after-school programs.
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) certification is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young learners.
• Passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed.

Availability:

• Must be available Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
