Oxford Learning Forest Hill is currently seeking a versatile and committed tutor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with students across age groups and is passionate about building both academic skills and confidence.
We’re looking for a tutor who is comfortable supporting high school math (primary focus), some physics, and academic writing, while also being able to work with younger students on foundational reading, writing, and math skills.
At Oxford Learning Forest Hill, we help students of all ages achieve academic success through personalized programs that build strong learning skills. Our approach goes beyond homework help — we teach students how to learn.
Teach high school math (primary focus), with some support in physics
Support students with writing and literacy development
Work with elementary students on reading, writing, and math skills
Prepare students for standardized tests (e.g., SAT) as needed
Deliver engaging, individualized instruction based on each student’s needs
Track student progress and provide feedback to the Education Coordinator
Foster a positive, motivating, and structured learning environment
Strong proficiency in high school math (required); physics is an asset
Comfortable supporting students across multiple grade levels and subjects
Experience teaching or tutoring high school students
Ability to also work with younger learners (elementary level)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
SAT preparation experience is an asset
Must be able to commit for at least one year (this is not a summer-only role)
Mandatory: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (afternoon/evening hours)
Preferred: Thursday evenings and/or Saturday mornings
Consistent part-time hours (no lesson planning required)
