Part-Time English & Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Join us and enrich your teaching experience! Oxford Learning Forest Hill is looking for dedicated part-time educators for our center. This role is designed for those who have a real passion for teaching and a desire to develop student skills.

At Oxford Learning, our educators don't need to plan before class because we've already prepared the lessons. You will benefit from a comprehensive training in our unique educational approach.

Position Essentials:

Oxford Learning educators must be available after school hours (from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm) and on Saturdays (from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm). We value a commitment throughout the school year; continuing over the summer would be a plus. Reliability is essential, as our students eagerly anticipate their sessions with you.

This is an on-site role; therefore, make sure you can travel to our location. It's not a remote position, and no relocation assistance is provided. A vulnerable sector check is mandatory.

We'd like to hear from you if you meet most of the following criteria:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • Fourth-year university students with significant tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Teaching certification is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of the current curriculum from kindergarten to Grade 12.

Experience:

  • Experience in teaching/tutoring students from kindergarten to Grade 12.
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken) and the ability to guide student understanding.
  • Ability to manage and work simultaneously with up to three students.

Responsibilities (Job Details):

As an interactive coach, your responsibilities include:

  • Simultaneously teaching up to 3 students at different levels.
  • Teaching both online and in-person.
  • Following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Filling out post-lesson notes.
  • Daily updates on student communication.
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional attitude at all times.
