Oxford Learning at Lawrence Plaza is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic French Tutor to join our dynamic team. We offer students a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic success and a love of learning.
As a tutor at Oxford Learning, you will provide individualized academic support in French, English, and Math. You will work with students from Grades 1 to 12 in French, up to Grade 8 in English, and up to Grade 6 in Math—helping them build strong academic skills and confidence in their learning.
You will also:
Teach academic French up to Grade 12 and prepare students for AP French.
Conduct academic assessments in French.
Support students in navigating their French curriculum choices.
Provide in-person tutoring at our centre.
Teach reading, writing, and oral communication in French up to Grade 12.
Support students in English (reading comprehension, writing, and grammar) and phonics.
Teach Math concepts up to Grade 6 in a structured and encouraging manner.
Help students become independent and motivated learners through Oxford Learning programs.
Track and communicate student progress with parents as needed.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
Complete light administrative tasks (progress reports, parent updates).
Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written).
Ability to teach French up to Grade 12 (including AP), English up to Grade 8, and Math up to Grade 6.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Teaching or tutoring experience (preferred).
Current university student or graduate (OCT certification is an asset but not required).
Organized, energetic, and passionate about student success.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Must be available Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Between 5 to 15 hours per week.
