Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning York Mills is looking for an upbeat, reliable, enthusiastic, dynamic part-time High School Math/Physics/Chemistry Teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must possess a strong background in Advanced Functions, Calculus, Data Managemet, Physics, OR Chemistry and must be comfortable teaching students in Grades 11–12 at all levels. 
We are currently seeking part-time tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.
Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00am - 1:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Continuing through summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
University students with a foundational knowledge based and extensive tutoring experience will be considered
Teaching certification an asset
Strong knowledge of the AT LEAST one of the following:
current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors
current Grades 11-12 physics curriculum, particularly but not limited to kinematics, dynamics, energy, waves, circuits, etc
current Grades 11-12 chemistry curriculum, particularly but not limited to atomic bonding, organic chemistry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, solutions, etc

Experience:

Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 11-12 (or equivalent) level
Strong English written and oral communication skills
Strong math and science skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Teaching online and in-person
Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
Filling in post-lesson notes
Completing daily student communication updates
Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students
In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem. Responsibilities (Position Details):
As the Education Coordinator you participate in the centre's operations, including working with multiple people from centre staff to teachers, to parents, and of course, the students! You will work directly with the Centre Director as a key staff member with the following responsibilities:

help inform inquiring parents about our Oxford Learning programs
organize schedules for students, staff, and teachers
set up and administer assessments
establish and oversee student learning programs
liaise with members of the community (schools, sports teams, and local businesses)
maintain contact with parents and meeting with them to discuss their child's progress
ensure that the Oxford Learning philosophy is being maintained throughout the centre
create a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
effectively master the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy as well as coach other teaching members of the team

Education:

Minimum university degree (Credits in Social Sciences, Languages, Math and Business preferred)
Strong secondary school mathematics skills are an asset
Additional language(s) spoken is an asset
Experience:

Work in an educational environment dealing with medium to large student bodies

Experience with billing cycles required
Strong computer skills (Google Workspace, online communication apps)
Strong phone skills and experience in customer service (experience in sales is preferred)

Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Our Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best – teaching!
Position Requirements

Are you a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French speaker? Join the team at Oxford Learning York Mills as a part-time French tutor/coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français! 
We teach students HOW to learn French. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. We have a lot of fun! Our class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher. We provide all of the curriculum and lessons. Teachers do not need to lesson plan. Our teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding. 
Position Requirements
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (3:30pm - 7:30pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, but up to Grade 12 is preferred. The candidate is required to instruct class sessions in French.
