Part-Time Teacher/Tutors Wanted

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Saskatoon is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.
Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Here, mentorship can be expected.
Position Requirements
Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm) Monday-Friday, Saturdays (9:00 am - 4:00 pm), and potentially Sundays (10:00 am-2:00 pm), as routinely scheduled. A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. We pride ourselves on excellent staff retention!
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online or hybrid position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
Third-year university students with tutoring experience and experience with children and youth will be considered
Teaching certification an asset
Good knowledge of the Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum for Saskatchewan and Canada desired
Experience:
Must have some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
Must have experience working with children and/or youth
Must have strong English written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to guide students' understanding
Good working knowledge of grammar required
Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Ability to tutor mathematics at either/or elementary or high school level is desirable
French written and oral communication skills will be considered a plus
Experience and understanding of working with students with exceptionalities is desirable
Responsibilities (Position Details)
You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:
Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Teaching in-person at an established learning centre
Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
Filling in post-lesson notes
Completing daily student communication updates
Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students
